Jeremiah 29 verse 11
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Or if you like, Livey’s version: “I will give you a future filled with hope!” Jeremiah 29 verse 11
This is a verse we all know so well, but it is so easy to loose sight of. How timely it was Liv’s verse this month at church. Even when things don’t seem to be going the way I think they should – he promises us a future filled with hope. Oh – how I hope we do see it soon! I want for both of us to be in secure jobs that we enjoy and to be financially stable enough to begin trying for our second child.
God knows these are the desires of our hearts and His word says:
Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him and He will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret--it leads only to evil. Psalm 37:4-8
It is so hard for me to not fret! I need to learn to be patient and TRUST!
